Saving the Manor has still not officially been renewed for a second season, but Dean and Borja are planning to launch a new series on YouTube.

If you have ever renovated part of your home, you will know that even the smallest of upgrades can turn into massive projects when the paint buckets and power tools come out.

However, instead of just renovating one small room in their house, amateur estate owners, Dean Poulton and Borja De Maqua have committed to completely transforming their over 300 year-old property (originally owned by Henry VII) – complete with caretaker’s cottage, servants quarters, main house, formal gardens, outdoor bathroom and stables.

Has Saving the Manor been renewed for a second season?

HGTV viewers were invited to follow Dean and Borja as they take on this mammoth journey through the Saving the Manor show, which premiered in 2022.

But now that more than a year has passed without any new Saving the Manor content, fans are starting to wonder about what exactly happened to this estate-owning duo.

It turns out that Dean and Borja are still working hard to restore the remains of this dilapidated old estate and turn it into the modern beauty of their dreams.

And while it seems like HGTV have been dragging their heels on bringing the show back for another season – Dean and Borja have decided to venture out on their own.

They plan to launch a brand new series via the My Tiny Estate YouTube channel as soon as March 12, 2024.

A recap of Saving the Manor season 1

Getting the behind-the-scenes scoop

Even if you dutifully watched every single episode of Saving the Manor’s first season, chances are, you were still not getting the full story.

The reality is that Dean, Borja and the entire Saving the Manor team had to condense a whole lot of renovation work into just a few minutes of footage for each episode, and as a result, many details were lost to the cutting room floor.

Fortunately though, Dean and Borja used the time that was left after their renovations and filming to document the entire process on their My Tiny Estate blog.

If you have not read through the descriptions of each episode just yet, you should give them a glance before the YouTube series goes live, as there are tons of behind-the-scenes details that we did not see on the show.

For instance, did you know that the quartz worktop for the coach house arrived only two days before the final reveal was filmed, or that there was a DIY-project that never quite made it into the final episode?

What to expect from the My Tiny Estate YouTube series

Although Dean and Borja accomplished a lot during Saving the Manor’s first season, they still have a long way to go before this years-old estate and its five houses are once again, fit for a king.

However, it looks like Dean and Borja are still as motivated as ever. In fact their social media accounts reveal that they have been working on a new gym, the cellar, the fireplace in the servants’ kitchens and even on some new artwork since the first season was filmed.

It looks like Dean and Borja have even more surprises in store

If you were paying close attention during Saving the Manor’s first episode, you will know that while this estate is Dean and Borja’s first project on such a large scale, it is not the first home renovation project that they have taken on together.

And while we do not have all the details about what lies ahead for their new YouTube series, this dynamic-home-renovating-duo has revealed that they will also be tackling a brand-new project (presumably not related to their estate) in the next couple of months.
