Layllen has officially left Ready to Love, but given how busy she is outside of the show – this might be for the best.
OWN’s dating show, Ready to Love has always been incredibly messy. But it turns out that between all of the awkward flirting, the misunderstood innuendo, and the complicated love triangles – the messiest thing about season nine so far, is the show’s casting decisions.
In fact, the first real drama that we saw go down this season was Glen announcing to Tommy that he had decided to withdraw from the competition before it had even really started.
And now that the fourth episode has aired, it seems like season nine has just bid farewell to yet another promising cast member.
Layllen’s self-elimination
If you watched season nine’s most recent “Getting Intimate” episode, then you will already know that Tommy decided to give Layllen, one of this season’s remaining hopeful singles, the week off after she confided in him about a few personal issues that she had been struggling with.
However, if you watched all the way to the end of the episode, you will know that Layllen ultimately announced to all of the season nine ladies that she would also be leaving the competition to deal with a family emergency which had come up while they were filming.
This means that out of the 20 hopeful singles who agreed to join the cast ahead of season nine, only 14 remained.
And now that Justin has joined the cast, there are 15 singles still competing to find love on Ready to Love season nine, and we are only four episodes in, so far.

Season nine has certainly been a rollercoaster ride so far, and we would not blame you if you lost track of the show’s current cast somewhere along the way.

Was there any behind-the-scenes drama
Ready to Love’s ninth season has been so drama-filled thus far, that it is difficult to believe that this drama did not somehow spill over behind the scenes.
And there has certainly been a ton of rumors flying around about why Layllen may be slowly parting ways with the show.
But, while Layllen has revealed that the hours on set filming for Ready to Love are actually much longer than most people assume, it seems like she really enjoyed the experience. In fact, Layllen told the team at K104-FM that “Overall it was actually an amazing experience”.
And, in the end, it does not seem like she is harboring any behind-the-scenes grudges towards any of the other cast members.
Maybe Layllen leaving is for the best
Season nine has certainly been one of the most divisive seasons of Ready to Love that we have seen in a long time.
And while it is certainly always unfortunate to watch a cast member part ways with the show on such uncertain terms – this difficult decision may have been for the best.
It is already pretty clear that not all of season nine’s men are truly looking for a long-term committed relationship, and since Layllen had not really connected with anyone on a romantic level yet, she may have just saved herself some future heartache by leaving the show early.
And now that she has appeared on national television, it is fair to assume that her dating pool has gotten much bigger in the last few months.
What Layllen has been up to outside of Ready to Love
Even though Layllen did ultimately end up leaving Ready to Love at the end of this fourth episode, she certainly has more than enough on her plate to keep her busy outside of the show.
When Layllen in not moonlighting as a reality television star, she is usually busy travelling to various locations across the globe or managing her various other businesses and projects.
This includes running the Dallas-based events venue called LAYD Spaces (which she owns), but also her life-coaching business and her thriving social media channels.
Even a quick peek at Layllen’s Instagram account shows that she is a busy lady, who has certainly remained very positive despite the fact that she may not have found her prince charming just yet.
