Adam Levine decided that in season 16 of The Voice, he would like to leave the show to become a stay-at-home dad to his two daughters and reunite with his band, Maroon 5.
Adam Levine is known as the award-winning singer and frontman of the band, Maroon 5, who later joined the hit singing competition, The Voice, in 2011.
As one of the original judges on the show, Adam contributed to the show becoming one of the most successful talent competitions of all time. In 2019, he announced that he would be leaving The Voice, after sixteen seasons and eight years.
In a 2019 interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Adam explained that his decision to leave was because of his desire to spend time with his two young daughters, Dusty Rose and Gio Grace.
He stated, “I do miss it, but I also don’t miss how much I had to work. I was just constantly working for so many years. Very lucky, very fortunate, very blessed, and all that, but just to be able to stop in this moment to spend time with my new young family, and just have the greatest time ever.”
Adam also announced that he will be returning to touring in 2020 with his band, Maroon 5, which was another reason he decided to leave the show.
