Brooke Williamson is one of the longest-running judges on BBQ Brawl and she has had a successful career as a chef and television personality outside of the show.
BBQ Brawl is a cooking competition show which is focused on showcasing the fine art of barbeque cooking.
Brooke Williamson has been a judge on BBQ Brawl since the second season, but she is well-known outside of the show for her many culinary ventures and regular television appearances.
About BBQ Brawl
Food Network has not only made a name for itself as the television home for cooking shows, but it has also produced some of the most popular cooking competition shows from the last two decades.
BBQ Brawl is one of the newer entries to the Food Network competition show lineup, but it has already become a fan-favorite.
BBQ Brawl pits expert grill masters and pit masters against each other in several epic outdoor barbeque battles in order to find the “Master of ‘Cue”.
Why Brooke Williamson is one of the best BBQ Brawl judges
If you are a longtime Food Network fan, then you will already know that the judges can really be the element that makes or breaks a cooking competition show, and BBQ Brawl is no different.
While the contestants who compete on BBQ Brawl definitely always do their best to pull out all the stops for every new challenge, these contestants are only one part of the total entertainment-value.
BBQ Brawl has been somewhat of a revolving door when it comes to the mentors and judging panel throughout the years.
But Brooke Williamson, who officially joined the show in its second season, has stayed the course and has become a favorite among BBQ Brawl fans and contestants.
Williamson initially shot to television food show fame when she competed on (and won!) season 14 of Bravo’s cooking competition show, Top Chef. But she had actually began her culinary career many years prior, at the age of 17.
Williamson’s culinary influences stretch far and wide, but at the core, her dishes are always quite simplistic and packed with locally-sourced ingredients and unexpected global flavors.
Over the course of her career, Williamson has been involved in, and even at the head of, dozens of successful restaurants and exciting culinary ventures.
The most recent of these include Playa Provisions, a new concept which combines four different restaurants in one open space.
When Williamson is not busy managing her restaurants or developing new recipes in the kitchen, she is often involved in the filming of cooking television shows and specials.
However, it is much more common to see her behind the judging table, instead of in front of it, these days.
Brooke Williamson did not want to be on Top Chef initially
It is likely that many of the celebrity chefs who we all know, and love today took many years to land their first television cooking gig. However, Williamson has revealed that her entry into the work of television was quite the opposite.
Top Chef apparently spotted Williamson’s natural charisma and charm way before she had ever considered making the move over to the entertainment industry.
She even turned down the show’s offer for a spot four times in a row before finally deciding to join the cast.
Other shows that you might see Brooke Williamson in
If you are all caught up on the BBQ Brawl episodes and you have already watched Williamson’s season of Top Chef, you may just be able to spot this charming chef on a few other popular cooking shows, if you are lucky.
Williamson also competed in the Tournament of Champions in 2020 and she can be spotted in a few of the following shows: Top Chef Duels, Knife Fight, and Guy’s Grocery Games.
You can also watch more of Williamson’s judging skills on House of Food.
What has Brooke Williams been up to recently?
Williamson has shown no signs of slowing down in the last few years and is still as busy as ever, both in front of, and away from, the camera.
The fourth season of BBQ Brawl (in which Williamson is once again featured as one of the judges on the judging panel) only recently started airing on July 10, 2023.
It is difficult to imagine how Williamson managed to film content both for this show and for the second season of Bobby’s Triple Threat, which is set to premiere in August.
Williamson also enjoys sharing some of her own recipes on her Instagram page and regularly promotes some of her other projects.
These include her recent collaborations with meal-kit My World Chef and the cookware brand, Made In, to her thousands of followers.
