DeAndre Hubbard, who is better known as “Ponytail” from Parking Wars, is still working as a parking enforcement officer in Detroit.
DeAndre “Ponytail” Hubbard continues to be a fan-favourite cast member on the Parking Wars reality television show and he is still a parking enforcement officer in Detroit to this day, according to his Facebook page.
Where is Ponytail from Parking Wars now?
Most people expected to dislike the officers on A&E’s old reality series, Parking Wars, who were in charge of issuing tickets to the general public who had violated parking guidelines. But Ponytail simply seemed impossible to dislike.
DeAndre “Ponytail” Hubbard instantly became a fan-favourite on the show when it became obvious to viewers that his tickets were never handed out vindictively.
He has also maintained his stance that his job is to keep the traffic moving, and not to hand out tickets, well after the show ended.
Ever since the very last episode of Parking Wars aired back in 2012, fans have wondered what had happened to Ponytail and where he is now.
Fortunately, a quick glance at the “Ponytail from Parking Wars” Facebook page confirms that he was still working as a parking enforcement officer in Detroit as recently as March of 2022, as per a shared post by his friend, Joe Hill Billy Foust.
How did Ponytail get his nickname?
Ponytail has revealed that his unique nickname may actually have been one of the reasons why he was chosen to feature on Parking Wars in the first place.
Apparently, Ponytail picked up this nickname from a couple of homeless guys, but when the producers of Parking Wars first visited Detroit, they immediately wanted to know who the person was that everyone referred to as “Ponytail”.
How did being on Parking Wars change Ponytail’s life?
While it may not seem like much has changed in Ponytail’s life over the last couple of years, since he is still in the same city doing the same job, he has confirmed that the show changed his “whole life” working as a parking enforcement officer.
He also confirmed that the relative fame that came with his appearance on the show made it so that people would greet him on the street now, instead of yelling at him about tickets.
Does Ponytail have other social media accounts?
Aside from the “Ponytail from Parking Wars” Facebook page, which is managed by Ponytail’s self-proclaimed super fan and page administrator, Lindsay, DeAndre also has a personal Instagram page.
However, this page is not nearly as active as the Facebook page and the most recent post on this page was made in 2018, though there are some recent comments from fans underneath this post.
