The majority of the new Food Network show, Outchef’d, is filmed in the network’s studio in New York.
There are many details about Outchef’d that need to be kept a secret to maintain the show’s shock-factor.
But the majority of the show is filmed at the Food Network Studios in New York and on the streets of New York.
Where is Outchef’d filmed?
As if showing up to an audition as an amateur chef is not stressful enough, the hopeful contestants on Food Network’s new-ish show, Outchef’d, take stress to a whole new level.
This is because the show’s host, Eddie Jackson, reveals to these competitors that they have actually been entered into a competition where they have to face off against some of the world’s most accomplished chefs,.
The first season of Outchef’d started airing in 2022 and this show has already become one of the most popular shows on the network.
Unfortunately, the surprise factor that the show relies on in order to bamboozle its competitors also requires that very few of its finer production details are released to the general public.
We do know, however, from the “man on the street” segment of the show where Jackson finds the panel of judges for every episode, that large parts of the show are likely filmed in the Food Network studios in New York City.
Why is Outchef’d filmed in New York?
While some parts of Outchef’d may be filmed elsewhere, it makes sense for the majority of the show to be filmed in New York, since this is also where Food Network’s headquarters is located.
Being New York-based also makes sense for the show’s host, since this allows him to guest-star on some of the network’s other shows. These include Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay, which are also filmed in New York.
Season two of Outchef’d is already airing
Though it may seem unlikely that a second group of contestants would fall for the same gag, the Outchef’d team has managed to pull it off.
The second season of Outchef’d officially started airing on June 15, 2023, 9:30 pm ET and it features a whole new lineup of celebrity chef challengers.
Some of the personalities from this list that Food Network regulars might recognize include chefs Alex Guarnaschelli, Antonia Lofaso, Eric Adjepong, Geoffrey Zakarian and more.
