Where is Beat Bobby Flay filmed?

Beat Bobby Flay is arguably one of the celebrity chef’s most exciting shows. It sees two challengers competing in two consecutive rounds in front of a panel of celebrity chefs to see whether they have what it takes to beat Flay.

In the past, Flay has travelled all around the world to film for his shows, and he has even invited the cameras into his home for shows like Brunch at Bobby’s.

However, as avid Beat Bobby Flay fans will already know, the contestants on the show often require a vast variety of ingredients and special equipment to pull out all the stops.

And for this reason, the show is filmed on specially built sets all across New York City.

Over the course of its 33 seasons, Beat Bobby Flay has filmed in studios all across New York City, including in Long Island City in Queens, Manhattan and Brooklyn.

The Beat Bobby Flay set is always impressive

The Beat Bobby Flay set is structured more like an amphitheater than a kitchen and it features two separate workstations which are fully equipped with stovetops, ovens, deep fryers and a prep station.

But perhaps the most impressive part of the set is the real-life pantry that is always freshly stocked with over 200 items.

This includes 30 kinds of spices, 80 dry pantry staples, and 45 different fruits and vegetables for the chefs to pick and choose from.

You may have the chance to see this set in-person

The best part about the Beat Bobby Flay set is the fact that the show is filmed in front of a live studio audience and therefore, members of the public may actually be able to visit the set and see the show being filmed, live and in person.

Beat Bobby Flay is currently on a hiatus, but if you keep an eye on the Shadow Casting & Productions website, you may just be able to join a future Beat Bobby Flay taping.

How often does Beat Bobby Flay film?

When the show is not on hiatus, every episode reportedly takes about four hours to film, but in order to get these episodes out as soon as possible, the show often films two episodes in one day, with a short break in between.

Some casting calls even ask for audience members to join for three days at a time.
