Guy Fieri has always been known for taking his show on the road, but Guy’s All-American Road Trip takes the entire Fieri family along for the ride.
Every season of Guy’s All-American Road Trip starts with Fieri’s family setting off on their epic culinary adventure.
But as most reality television fans will know by now, the filming of the show often takes place months before the show starts airing.
So, while the first season of Guy’s All-American Road Trip started airing on June 2, 2022 the show was actually filmed months in advance.
In fact, Jim Belushi revealed that they actually filmed parts of the series before January 2022, when Fieri guest-starred on the Growing Belushi show.
The second season of Guy’s All-American Road Trip seems to be following a similar schedule thus far.
This was not the first Fieri Family road trip
Not every family is accustomed to travelling in a group and being filmed on their family vacations, but the Fieris have had years of practice.
In fact, Guy’s family was also included in a different family road trip show called Guy’s Family Road Trip in 2017, where they travelled in a luxury RV in search of some of the best dishes on offer all the way from the Grand Canyon to New Orleans.
How long do the episodes take to film?
Carl Chaney, the owner of Chaney’s Dairy Barn (which is featured in the second season of Guy’s All-American Road Trip) revealed that Food Network took about two days to film their segment for the series.
Interestingly enough, Fieri and his family were not always present during the filming process.
Though Chaney did mention that once the Fieri RV pulled up to the location, Fieri was a complete professional and filmed everything in one, smooth take.
Season 2 of Guy’s All-American Road Trip has already wrapped
The second season of Guy’s All-American Road Trip officially started airing on June 3, 2023, and it seems like the second season of the show followed pretty much the same schedule as the first.
Some sources reported that the series was already filming “earlier this year” and the Park County Travel Council announced that Fieri would be in town filming this show, and others, between June 21 and June 26, 2023.
