Season 38 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives may be winding down, and it does not look like the show will be coming to an end, anytime soon.
Did you know that the now iconic Guy Fieri’s signature look was invented especially for Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Well, this beloved host and long-time mayor of Flavortown recently revealed that his extremely meme-worthy fashion choices on the show were actually born out of necessity.
Apparently, Fieri was instructed to show up on the first day of filming for Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives with a collared shirt. And in classic Fieri-fashion, he showed up in a bowling shirt, as it was the only shirt he owned that had a collar.
The current Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives
There is no doubt that the fan-favorite “Triple-D” has come a long way since the filming of this pilot episode (which, if you can believe it, premiered all the way back in 2007). But it seems like both Fieri and the show are still going strong.
Food Network has not yet officially announced its plans for Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives’ next season, but this should not be much of a cause for concern, as the show is still currently finishing up its 38th season (as of January 2024).
And it does not seem like Fieri is planning to slow down on his mission to visit some of the most mouth-watering independent eateries across the United States, any time soon.

Everything we know about Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives season 39
As mentioned above, Food Network has not yet released any official updates about the next season of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
However, it is really only a matter of time until Fieri returns for another round of his Flavortown shenanigans, as he penned another three-year deal with the network in November of 2023.
And, if you have been keeping a close eye on the Food Network website, you may already know that the “Smokin’ Southern Decadence” episode (the sixth installment of a six-part mobile restaurant special) has officially been listed as this season’s premiere episode.
So while we do not know exactly when this new season will start airing, we do know that it will start with a real barbeque-themed bang.
