Dr. Liles may have left Belle Collective, but she is still running her business, Mint Dental, and is still keeping fans up to date on her life.
Dr. Antoinette Liles, who is perhaps most well-known for being the dentist on Belle Collective (for now, at least) announced that she was leaving the show in 2022.
This was after years of struggling to keep everything together while filming the show.
What happened to the dentist on Belle Collective?
Fans could hardly contain their excitement when it was announced that OWN would be debuting Belle Collective This show is about the professional and personal lives of the modern southern belles of the Jackson, Mississippi social scene.
Dr. Antoinette Liles, a celebrated dentist and the owner of Mint Dental, was one of many boss-ladies featured on the show. Sadly, Dr Liles announced in an Instagram post in June, 2022 that she had decided to part ways with the show.
In the caption of this post, Liles explains that she was severely depressed whilst filming the show in 2020 and that she was “barely” keeping everything together.
As a result, she felt like she was not “giving” what she needed to. Dr. Liles is still keeping up with her dental work outside of the show, but she will not be part of Belle Collective beyond the second season of the show.
Dr. Liles admitted that she was struggling to balance her business and the show
Dr. Liles was so transparent about her reasons for leaving the show that she even released her official letter of resignation.
This letter revealed that Dr. Liles was struggling to balance all of her business’s office duties with the responsibility of filming for the show.
Especially since Mint Dental was still a growing business, and she ultimately decided that splitting her focus in this way was impacting her financial stability in a negative way.
What has Dr. Liles been up to since she left Belle Collective?
Dr. Liles has not slowed down since announcing her split from Belle Collective. Not only was she named in one of the “Dentists to look out for in 2022” list from Disruptors Magazine, but she has also celebrated Mint Dental’s second birthday.
Liles has expanded the Mint Dental brand considerably and she continues to promote the MINTorship non-profit organization throughout all of her efforts.
