The Honey Shack has opened its flagship store at the Rustic Timber and Garden Centre in Fourways, giving customers a place to browse its extensive product range.
The Honey Shack is the flagship store opened by food company, Maverick Gold, which specialises in honey and other organic consumables. What started off as a small family business quickly grew into a full-time business, with Maverick Gold supplying its products to national grocery franchises and creating a stable and loyal clientele.
Following the national lockdown, the brand’s honey sales spiked, as many became well aware of the health benefits of the natural and organic product. This led to the company settling into its flagship store at Rustic Timber and Garden Centre in Fourways, where customers are now able to browse and purchase items from the range in person.
The store opened in October 2020, and has since grown to become a popular feature of the centre. Made to look like a beehive, the entire shop is painted in yellow, with the products being displayed on easy-to-view tables inside.
