Farmtruck and AZN have always been some of the most popular racers in the Street Outlaws franchise, and now they are slowly making a comeback.

Street Outlaws has been one of the most exciting car reality shows on television for many years.

Farmtruck and AZN have always been the underdogs on Street Outlaws. And although their spin-off show was not as successful as they likely expected, they have managed to return to the Street Outlaws franchise in a big way.

About Street Outlaws

The most drama that you can expect to see on any regular car-focused reality program is usually about tight budgets and deadlines.

However, Street Outlaws, a show which has been a fan-favorite since it started airing on Discovery Channel all the way back in 2013, ups the stakes with everything from illegal races to dangerous maneuvers and huge cash prizes.

This edge-of-your-seat entertainment inspired thousands of fans to tune in to watch  various racers call out their competitors for the chance to move up a space on “The List” for 14 seasons so far.

And much like the racers who compete on the show, Street Outlaws shows no signs of slowing down just yet.

Street Outlaws: What happened to Farmtruck and AZN?

Some of the 405 racers on Street Outlaws take the program and their standing on “The List” very seriously. These racers even end up getting hurt sometimes because of their always-faster mentality.

But other racers seem to value building the most outlandish racing cars that they possibly can, over the actual outcomes of the race.

Two such racers, who became fan-favorites on Street Outlaws almost immediately after they first appeared on the show, are the underdogs, Farmtruck and AZN.

Farmtruck and AZN initially sparked the interest of fans when they signed up for the Street Outlaws races as a team.

Sean “Farmtruck” Whitley tries his absolute best to win the races in his unconventional 1970 Chevy long bed truck “racecar” and Jeff “AZN” Bonnet handles  the smack-talk and pre-race banter.

Their unusual approach to the entire Street Outlaws premise proved to be so popular that the duo eventually even got their own spin-off series called Street Outlaws: Farmtruck and AZN.

Street Outlaws: Farmtruck and AZN was only one of many spin-offs in the Street Outlaws franchise, but unfortunately, the buzz around this much-anticipated show fizzled out pretty quickly after the first season started airing in 2021.

To make matters worse, Farmtruck and AZN have also been making fewer appearances in the other Street Outlaws shows over the years, as their schedules have been getting busier.

Fortunately, Farmtruck and AZN have recently shared an update video to the FarmtruckandAZN YouTube channel, not only detailing why they took a step back from the Street Outlaws franchise after the first season of their show, but also their plans for a comeback.

What happened with the Street Outlaws: Farmtruck and AZN spin-off?

On paper, a spin-off series centered on Farmtruck, AZN (two of the most popular characters from the Street Outlaws franchise) and their various unusual builds would have been an instant hit.

But although the first season of Street Outlaws: Farmtruck and AZN showcased a variety of out-of-the-box designs and certainly gave fans much more insight into what Farmtruck and AZN do when they are not on the racetrack, the show never really got off the ground and it has still not been renewed for a second season.

Why did Farmtruck and AZN disappear from Street Outlaws?

Most fans assumed that Farmtruck and AZN had taken a step back from the original Street Outlaws races in 2021 so that they could spend more time focusing on their own show.

And, while this may be partially true, Farmtruck and AZN have also revealed that the 405 did not really want them to race when the show had gotten so much bigger and more competitive over the years.

Fortunately, though, it seems like they have all managed to bury the hatchet recently, as Farmtruck and AZN are slowly making their way back onto the Street Outlaws franchise.

What are Farmtruck and AZN up to now?

Even though the Street Outlaws: Farmtruck and AZN spin-off did not really work out as planned, Farmtruck and AZN continue to be incredibly popular characters in the Street Outlaws franchise today.

In fact, they are so popular that the ‘Farmtruck and AZN’ Facebook page currently has over 3 million followers.

Moreover, even though there have been squabbles between this beloved team and the rest of the Street Outlaws franchise in the past, they have now also signed on to do various Street Outlaws shows, including Street Outlaws vs. Australia, Street Outlaws No Prep Kings, and more.
