Saxon Hotel unveils revamped facilities completed during national lockdown

Saxon Hotel, Villa and Spa has announced that during the national lockdown, it has been hard at work revamping integral parts of its property, including the reception area and Qunu restaurant.

Saxon Hotel, Villa and Spa shared an Instagram post on Tuesday, 1 December 2020, which announced that it had completed the renovations that begun during the national lockdown, which led to the hotel being closed for a lengthy period of time. In particular, the renovations were done in the reception area, the Qunu restaurant, the cigar library and the olive bar.

The new aesthetic is more modern, whilst maintaining the classic African statement pieces that can be seen in the artwork and furniture at the hotel. The reception area also has paintings of former president, Nelson Mandela, which showcases Saxon’s patronage to South Africa.

The post stated, “During the months of the hotel’s closure, the Saxon team has been hard at work to ensure that guests’ return to the hotel will be peaceful, comfortable, and safe. We are excited to share the first images of these re-imagined spaces.”
