Saxon Hotel restaurant introduces festive treats by pastry chef, Catherine Adonis

The Saxon Hotel, Villas and Spa’s in-house restaurant has announced the addition of new items to its dessert menu, created by pastry chef, Catherine Adonis.

The Saxon Hotel, Villas and Spa shared an update on its menu in an Instagram post today, 3 December 2020. According to the luxury hotel, resident pastry chef, Catherine Adonis has decided to add some festivity to its dessert menu by specially creating a new flavoured macaron.

The post stated, “Gingerbread houses and ginger cookies are traditionally a favourite over the festive season, not only in the cooler northern hemisphere, but right here in South Africa too.”

The post expanded by explaining that Catherine had drawn inspiration from the festive treats to create gingerbread macarons with a twist of spiced chocolate. The new dessert is now available at the restaurant throughout the festive season, with more menu items expected to be added during the next few weeks.
