Sandton City has announced that it has extended its trading hours for the festive season, in an effort to accommodate late night or early morning shoppers.
Sandton City shared an Instagram post on Saturday, 21 November 2020, announcing its festive season trading hours. The shopping centre will now be open from 09:00 until 20:00 on Mondays to Saturdays, and from 09:00 until 18:00 on Sundays and public holidays.
The post stated, “Sandton City gears up for the holiday season with its festive trading hours starting from today, giving you more time to do what you love.”
Restaurants and eateries at the mall will trade according to their individual trading hours, however, the majority of restaurants will be closing at 22:00 to comply with the national curfew. Sandton City has also emphasised the importance of social distancing at the mall, and has also extended its Black Friday specials to give customers a chance to shop on two separate days, instead of crowding together on one.
