The Randpark Golf Club will be used as the official venue for the Joburg Open, with its Firethorn Course being the only one to be used for the tournament because of COVID-19 restrictions.
The Randpark Golf Club has announced that it will be hosting this year’s Joburg Open, which will be taking place between Thursday, 19 November and Sunday, 22 November 2020. The tournament will be returning for the first time since 2017, and will be adopting a new format due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
The first adjustment will be that the entire tournament will be taking place on the Firethorn Course, in an effort to minimize movement between the various golf courses. Additionally, spectators will not be allowed to attend, as the Firethorn Course will only accommodate competitors.
The official Joburg Open Instagram page stated, “The Joburg Open has ensured that all COVID-19 restrictions are put in place, and unfortunately, this year, the tournament will not have any spectators on the golf course.” The Joburg Open will be broadcast live from the Randpark Golf Club on Supersport.

@randparkgolfclub course is where the tournament will be taking place. The #JoburgOpen will happen completely differently to past events due to #Covid19 compliance requirements, this means that the firethorn course will be the only course that will be utilised for the tournament. – – #golf #golfcourse #tournament #JoburgOpen #joburg #birdy #drive #golflife #golfswing #swing #golfstagram #golfaddict #golfingday
