Pineslopes Boulevard launches Letters To Santa initiative

Pineslopes Boulevard is encouraging festive cheer amongst local children, who are now able to submit letters to Santa Claus, who will be writing back to each child.

Pineslopes Boulevard launched the Letters To Santa initiative on Friday, 20 November 2020, which sees a mailbox being placed between Spar and Checkers for letters to be sent to Santa Claus. The initiative was launched in the hopes of raising awareness about The Maletsatsi Foundation, as families are requested to make a donation in the donation box when submitting their letters. The public is being encouraged to especially donate Lactogen 1, Nan 1 Optipro, Novalac AR Digest and nappies in sizes 2, 3 and 4.

Children can expect a letter back from Santa Claus in the days leading up to Christmas, and are requested to remember to include a cellphone number in their letter. This is so that Santa Claus can notify them about where he has dropped their letter off for collection.

In a statement to Paulton on Friday, 27 November 2020, initiative organiser, Samantha Curley-Young, commented, “2020 has been an incredibly tough year, with so many fun and magical moments stolen from our little ones, so Pineslopes Boulevard wanted to bring some joy and magic back to the festive season. Letters To Santa was born, but we also wanted to make sure that we were giving back too. Partnering with The Maletsatsi Foundation just made sense. We hope that our community comes on board with this campaign, so that our little ones regain some magic this year, and an amazing organization can get the help they need too.”
