One Up has opened a pop-up bar at the Union Station venue in Midrand, which will be open between 18:00 and midnight every Friday night for the entire festive season.
One Up is an R&B lounge and club which was originally based at Cantare in Monte Casino. Due to the restrictions on nightclubs during the lockdown period, One Up decided to move its lounge to another venue for a pop-up bar experience.
Now based at Union Station in Midrand, the pop-up bar launched on Friday, 16 October 2020. According to an Instagram post on Friday, 2 October 2020, and confirmation from the venue, it will continue to open every Friday throughout the festive season between 18:00 and midnight.
The venue has changed the format of the nightclub into a casual bar, which comprises outdoor and indoor seating to allow patrons to adequately social distance. The resident DJ Sebastian Dark will also be offering R&B music, whilst dancing between attendees will be monitored. One Up has also stipulated that strict safety measures will be upheld at every event and limited guests will be allowed into the venue.
