Montecasino to host socially distanced concert, A New Day Out

Montecasino has announced the country’s first socially distanced concert, A New Day Out, which is also being referred to as a pod party music festival.

Montecasino will be hosting the country’s first pod party music festival, A New Day Out, on Saturday, 28 November and Sunday, 29 November 2020. The concert will serve as the country’s first social distancing music event, as all attendees will be designated to different pods to ensure that they are not in close proximity to one another.

Montecasino stated, “A New Day Out is a unique event that offers music fans a safe environment to enjoy the festival from the comfort of their very own socially distanced pod that will also consist of seats for four friends and/or family, as well as a variety of complimentary items included. Event goers will be able to order food and beverages, which will be delivered directly to their pod.”

The event will take place between 11:00 and 18:30, and will see some of the country’s top-tier musicians performing for the crowd. The line-up includes Majozi, Veranda Panda, Shortstraw, PHFat and Prime Circle, who will be performing on both days. The pods are limited to four people and come with a variety of complimentary goods, such as Garmin masks, Garmin umbrellas and drinks. Tickets are priced at R500 per person for general admission and R1 250 for golden circle admission.

Tickets are available for purchase on the Montecasino website.
