Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch has not been renewed by Discovery Bros. Warner just yet, but it seems like the team have already began filming new content.
Up until a few months ago, Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch fans had little to go on as far as the future of the show was concerned.
And just about the only mention of Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch season four, came from this Facebook post, in which fans were encouraged to “tell Discovery” about how much they love the show.
It looks like the wait is over
Fortunately though, the months of waiting for an update have now seemingly finally paid off. Chad has seemingly just confirmed that Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch will be “back in the saddle” for season four.
Chad shared a short video featuring what looks to be a few behind-the-scenes filming snaps on his Instagram page on March 14, 2024, and captioned it “Here we goo”.
And while this is not exactly an outright confirmation that Warner Bros. Discovery has renewed Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch, it seems like things are moving in that direction.
A rundown of Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch’s first 3 seasons
While we do not have any concrete details as to when exactly Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch will return for season four, now might be the right time to ensure that you are all caught up on the show’s first three seasons.
The details for Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch season one through three are outlined below:
Season | Initial air dates |
Season 1 | January 1, 2021 to February 5, 2021 |
Season 2 | January 7, 2022 to March 4, 2022 |
Season 3 | November 15, 2023 to January 3, 2024 |
The Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch season 4 release date
While Chad has now all but confirmed that Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch will return for a fourth season, we still do not have much information about when this season will premiere (or what to expect from the plot).
However, from what we know about the airing schedules of Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch’s first three seasons, the show could likely return to our screens as soon as November of 2024.
And if the pattern holds, Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch season four will likely continue to air on Discovery Channel in the show’s regular, 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot.
And since season three only ended up airing in eight episodes, it is likely that season four will also stick to this established format, especially if its release gets pushed to November, like season three.
Who will be returning for Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch season 4?
The majority of the Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch team has been rather quiet since season three of the show concluded, except Chad, who broke the news that filming had started again.
Duane seems to have confirmed that he will also be returning for another season in this Instagram post from February 20, 2024, but we do not have any details about the Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch season four cast beyond the Ollinger family.
At this point, it seems safe to assume that Charlie (also known as “Charlie Boy”) will return alongside the Ollingers, if the show returns.
And we suspect that other fan-favorites, such as Ryan Skinner, James Keenan, and even Stephen Leeah and the Hidden World Quantum Imaging team will also appear in season four.
Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch’s competition
A season four renewal is certainly good news for the Ollingers (and the entire Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch team), but the show may not be out of the woods entirely yet.
If we know anything about the highly-competitive world of cable television, it is that renewals and cancellations can be quite unpredictable.
And while it seems like Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch just beat the axe this time around, the show’s fourth season will really have to impress the higher-ups at Warner Bros. Discovery if it is to survive beyond season four.
Warner Bros. Discovery saw a marked decrease in stock prices at the end of 2023 and the company is certainly scrambling to get back on track after the merger between Discovery and Warner Media closed in 2022.
And, for shows like Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch, which have managed to keep their heads above water for this long, – it seems like the rest of 2024 will see a sharp increase in competition across the board.
In fact, Howard Lee, the President Discovery Channel Networks and TLC, has already announced plans for over 50 hours of new original content, including shows like America’s Backyard Gold, Big Little Brawlers, Vegas Tow, Mud Wild and more.
