Kitchen Nightmares was officially cancelled in 2014 and the show has not been rebooted since.

Though Kitchen Nightmares is a fan-favourite when it comes to television shows from Gordon Ramsay, the show is no longer running and was actually officially cancelled a few years ago in 2014.

It was Ramsay’s decision to cancel the show when he realised that he was just done with the entire process.

Is Kitchen Nightmares still going?

Kitchen Nightmares is arguably one of the shows that celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay, is most well-known for to this day.

Unfortunately, whilst this reality television series is still unanimous with Ramsay’s name and many internet memes, Kitchen Nightmares was officially cancelled in 2014.

While most shows are cancelled on account of low ratings or the network moving in a different direction, the cancellation of Kitchen Nightmares was actually Ramsay’s idea.

The host of the show confirmed later on that he had been pushed into the decision during the filming of a new episode when he realised that he was simply “done.”

Ramsay had also faced criticisms lobbed at him and the show over the years about the fact that so few of the restaurants that he “helped” actually stayed open after their episodes aired, which likely contributed to the eventual cancellation of the reality series.

He later admitted that he regretted cancelling the show in a fit of anger, but it was later replaced by another show with a similar premise, called 24 Hours to Hell and Back.

How long was Kitchen Nightmares on the air?

The first episode of Kitchen Nightmares first aired on 19 September 2007 and the very last episode aired on 12 September 2014, almost exactly seven years later.

This amounts to seven seasons of the show, with 92 episodes in total. During this time, Ramsay visited over 70 different restaurants throughout the United States, but only a few of these remain open to this day.

What about the British version of the show?

Though the American spin-off of Kitchen Nightmares has been cancelled for years, you may be able to satisfy your craving for new episodes of the show with the original British version, which is called Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares.

Sadly, Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares was cancelled in 2007, just three years after it began.

Will Kitchen Nightmares ever come back?

Though Ramsay admitted that he regrets cancelling Kitchen Nightmares, it seems unlikely that the show will be rebooted after so many years.

Ramsay is also very busy with his other television projects, including shows like Next Level Chef, Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted Showdown, and Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars, in which he has been heavily involved.
