Houghton Golf Club will be welcoming aspiring golfers and seasoned professionals at its Mini Masters event this weekend, where tips and coaching will be provided to young golfers.
Houghton Golf Club is set to host the Mini Masters event on Sunday, 15 November 2020. The event will see children under the age of 17 gaining knowledge and technique advice from golf experts.
In an Instagram post on Friday, 23 October 2020, the golf club stated, “Meet our pros and play the Mini Masters on 15 November 2020. You are welcome to bring your mates.” The event calls upon the fathers of the young golfers to accompany them and serve as their ‘daddy caddy’ for the event.
The programme will see the young golfers meeting with the professional golfers at the Houghton Golf Club range at 14:00, and then beginning with an hour-long warm up session. Thereafter, they will play four or nine holes, depending on their age and skill level, and finish off at 18:00 with dinner and a prize giving ceremony. Entries for the Mini Masters event are priced at R120 per player.
