As always, season five of The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch started with a discussion about everything that the team wanted to investigate this season.
And while we know by now that the team tends to get sidetracked quite easily, once they actually start investigating – this gives us a rather broad idea of the investigations that may be happening later in this season.
Some of the things mentioned during this catch-up session include:
- The possibility of doing exploratory drilling in various locations around the property, including the triangle and the mesa
- Some kind of mission to examine the dome-shaped structure hidden within the Mesa
- The plan to find out what is causing the anomalies in the triangle

In this case, The Secret at Skinwalker Ranch team has always maintained that while they suspect various kinds of alien activity on the property, they have not gathered enough evidence to prove it yet. So aliens are likely off the table for this season’s findings.
What to expect for The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch season five
From what Taylor has shared so far, the critical moment for this season will happen during what the team now refers to as “drone-mageddon.”
If you look closely, you can see a small snippet of this moment in the season’s preview video.
Hence, any kind of “massive drone failure” or “drone anomaly” tile should be a fairly safe addition to your bingo card as this season progresses.
There has also been an uptick in the conversation around dire wolves amongst The Secret at Skinwalker Ranch cast recently, so there is a pretty good chance that these thought-to-be-extinct creatures will resurface later in season five.
From the preview of this season, we also know that the team will discover some type of mysterious goo at some point in the future.
