Very few TV shows are as transparent as Expedition X in revealing the equipment and gadgets they use, allowing us mere mortals to do what the shows stars do.
They say that science, specifically experiments, should be replicable. That is to say if an experiment is truly grounded in science, anyone should be able to conduct the same experiment.
Using the same substances and equipment, to achieve the same result as you did – that is science.
Very few TV shows are as open as Expedition X in allowing us as viewers and indeed hobbyists to conduct the same experiments we see on TV.
Almost all shows come with the vaunted “do not try this at home” refrain, and often hide the tools and equipment as a trade secret only then can know.
Not Expedition X. Each piece of equipment the team uses comes complete with an informative on-screen blurb, ensuring we are lock-step with what the team is doing.
And whether or not we buy the basis for using such tools, and indeed their veracity as scientific tools, we can at least try to replicate the same experiment at home, or in our own amateur paranormal investigative endeavours.
Below is a list of the equipment the Expedition X team used in Season 8, which commenced on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
We will periodically update the list after each episode.
