The fifth season of the popular game show, America Says, started airing in 2022, and these episodes are still airing on the Game Show Network on weekdays.
America says is a wildly entertaining game show, in which two groups of competing contestants have to try their best to guess the right answers to a set of questions.
The show has had a somewhat rocky history, but episodes from the most recent, fifth season are still airing on the Game Show Network currently. Alternatively, they can be found on certain television streaming services.
About America Says
America Says has always been a fan-favorite among fans who enjoy watching fast-paced, fill-in-the-blank-type studio game shows.
The game pits two teams of friends or family members against each other and challenges the teams to guess which responses they think the majority of Americans would agree with.
And, with only a few seconds on the clock in each round, tensions and nerves always run high, as the two groups face off against each other for the chance to win the $15,000 grand prize.
Everything you need to know about the new season of America Says
America Says, and the show’s host, John Michael Higgins, have always been popular among viewers, but the show had a rather rocky history in terms of production.
When America Says first premiered in 2018, the show fell under the umbrella of the ever-popular Game Show Network.
The show’s first season was such a big success that it was renewed by the Game Show Network for a 95-episode second season in August of 2018 and for a third season in 2019.
By this point, America Says had become Game Show Network’s top-rated show in the crucial, “women of ages 25 to 54” demographic and had garnered the attention of Sony Pictures TV, who eventually helped to syndicate the show for the 2019/2020 television season.
But, a year later, sources at Sony confirmed that America Says would not be brought back for the 2020/2021 season.
Fortunately, the Game Show Network took this change in its stride and America Says was, in fact, brought back for a fourth season, which began airing in 2021 after COVID-19 related delays.
The fifth, and most recent, season of America says officially started airing on April 25, 2022, and although the sixth season has not yet been announced officially, these newer episodes are still being aired on the Game Show Network to this day.
The America Says applications are still open
The Game Show Network has not yet officially announced that it will be bringing back America Says for a sixth season.
But, if the show has managed to maintain its strong following since the fifth season premiered in 2022, it is likely just a matter of time until new episodes start airing.
In fact, the future of the show seems so bright that the applications to be on America Says are still currently open on the Game Show Network website.
All you need to do to apply to be on the show is to fill out the digital application form with your information and the information of your teammates, and then submit it for the perusal of the America Says producers.
Where to watch America Says
New episodes of America Says air on the Game Show Network on weekdays at 2 p.m., but you can also find re-runs of the America Says episodes at other times during the day, currently.
And since the Game Show Network Streaming App has been discontinued since April 1, 2023, you will need to visit a third-party television streaming service if you want access to this content without getting cable.
The Game Show Network content is available on several different streaming services, including DIRECTV, Philo, Sling TV, fuboTV, Pluto TV and YouTube TV.
All about John Michael Higgins’s other show on the Game Show Network
If you simply cannot get enough of America Says, even after you have streamed all of the available episodes or watching them on the Game Show Network, you may want to consider watching the host, John Michael Higgins’s other game show, to help pass the time.
Higgins’s new show is called “Split Second” and it is actually a revival of a classic and beloved quiz show from the 70s.
Split Second does differ from the America Says format and sees three individual competitors facing off in various trivia challenges in order to rack up enough points to walk away with the $10,000 grand prize.
However, the show does share the same fast-paced and edge-of-your seat entertainment that America Says has, and of course, contains even more quips and jokes from the fan-favorite host.
