The Planned Pethood International clinic has undergone some big changes
Two years is a long time to go without any updates about the future fate of your favorite television show. And there have been many changes in Dr. Jeff’s life since the cameras last stopped rolling.
For a start, Dr. Jeff’s beloved Planned Pethood International clinic has now moved to a brand new location in Conifer, Colorado.
Dr. Jeff has explained that they have plans to expand this clinic not only in terms of its current pet healthcare capacity, but also by opening an entire hospital wing and training center.
The Planned Pethood International website reveals that the new clinic and training center officially opened its doors in May of 2023, and that the business has since expanded even further, with the added acquisition of the Intermountain Humane Society in Pine, which endeavors to provide shelter for displaced and abandoned pets until they can be re-homed.
And while it seems like these new expansions are a dream come true for Dr. Jeff and his team, managing all of these new businesses, certainly leaves little time for filming a television show.

Dr. Jeff is doing a lot of travelling
If you have not kept up-to-date on the newest behind-the-scenes Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet news over the last few years – you may have missed the fact that Dr. Jeff has once again been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer.
However, Dr. Jeff has shared that his treatment is going well. And while this beloved television star is “not 100% yet”, his lungs seem to be recovering quite well.
As a result, Dr. Jeff has made plans to travel all throughout the United States (and to a few other countries) this year, to continue with the spaying, neutering and vaccinations that he is so passionate about.
With locations like Pine Ridge, Wolf Point, Colorado, Reynosa, Guadalajara, Hungary and Ukraine on Dr. Jeff’s planned agenda for the year ahead – it appears like he will not be around his new clinic for long enough to film new seasons of Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet anytime soon.
Fortunately, it seems like the clinic’s good work has not slowed down much over the course of the last few years – even without the cameras around to document it all.
Will Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet ever return to television?
The one fortunate thing about having your favorite television show put on ice is that since Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet has not officially been cancelled – there is always a chance that the show could return to television at some point in the future.
However, fans will seemingly likely have to wait a few more years for another season.
Dr. Jeff has reassured fans that he is “never gonna go away”, but this former television star was less certain about the future of this beloved show, stating that he did not know whether he will be back on television.
So, for the time being, it seems like Dr. Jeff: Rocky Mountain Vet fans will have to rely on re-runs and the brand new Dr. Jeff The Rocky Mountain Vet YouTube channel, to watch their favorite Planned Pethood International staff members in action.
