Bryanston Organic Market’s Cappison Products stall recognised amongst its most popular

Bryanston Organic Market’s showcase of local businesses sees Cappison Products occupying one of the stalls, which has been offering ceramic graters and handmade plates to customers for four years.

Bryanston Organic Market is filled with a wide selection of stalls, most of which offer a great variety of goods that have been designed and manufactured in South Africa. Amongst its most popular stalls is Cappison Products, owned by Capi Sithole. The quaint store is headed by salesman, Knowledge, who remains true to his name by imparting his knowledge about the company with customers, and conducting theatrical demonstrations.

Amongst the stall’s bestsellers are the ceramic grater plates, which are handmade by local glassware designers. Having occupied the spot at the market for over four years, Knowledge explained that he often sees familiar faces each week, as they bring along new customers to witness his demonstration of the grater.

The grater is priced at R150, and is said to be capable of slicing, grating and liquidising vegetables and fruits, which Knowledge believes makes it an essential kitchen item.
