Blind Frog Ranch: If There Were Ever an Award for Bad Acting, the Collapsing South Cave Scene Would Win It

After the shadow—or rather, mountain lion—or wait, was it a coyote?—encounter, the rumbling begins, and suddenly the cave, with its very narrow crawl space, appears to be collapsing.

Geologist Eric Drummond and Chad Ollinger dash for the exit, and just in the nick of time, Drummond escapes, leaving Chad inside.

But don’t worry—the rocks conveniently fall only to cover the entrance, and Chad emerges unscathed. The scene is so unbelievable, so unnecessarily dramatic.

But that doesn’t stop Chad from acting as if he just conquered Mount Everest, with the producer dramatically mouthing, “Pull him out, pull him out!”

And then there’s Eric Drummond, looking up to the sky when Duane asks if there was an earthquake or something.

That moment truly takes the cake. Yes, let’s look up at the clouds and throw our hands in the air to confirm an earthquake.
