Going up against the famed chef, Bobby Flay, on his own cooking competition show is certainly no small feat.
However, some competitors have done so well that they have not only managed to beat out one other chef in the first round of the competition, but went on to eventually beat Flay, himself.
Over the course of the 33 seasons of Beat Bobby Flay that have already aired, Flay has only lost the competition to another chef 158 times.
Notably, some critics maintain that this number should actually be considerably higher (but hey, it is Flay’s show after all).
So far, in the show’s most recent 33rd season, Bobby Flay has won every round.
But in the previous 32nd season (which first aired in 2022) chefs Jocelyn Law-Yone, Adrien Blech, Angelo Competiello, Edwin Bayone, Avishar Barua and Rachel Klein all managed to earn the bragging rights of saying that they beat Bobby Flay.

Beating Bobby Flay on his own show definitely takes incredible skill, but Chef Michael O’Halloran who managed to win the head-to-head against Flay in 2022, insists that it takes more than just skill to win.
His advice is to “Prepare, prepare, prepare” and of course, to come with a bunch of witty one-liners at the ready.
