Basalt has decided to extend its guest chef pop-up event with Candice Philip, due to the overwhelming response to the first three dates, which are already fully booked.
Basalt restaurant in Melrose announced in an Instagram post on Friday, 20 November 2020, that it has extended its most recent round of the guest chef pop-up. The three-day event, which began on Thursday, 26 November 2020, and will run until Saturday, 28 November 2020, will see renowned chef, Candice Philip, preparing a five-course dinner menu, with optional cocktail pairings by mixologist, Orefile Sealetsa.
With the days immediately becoming fully booked, the five-star restaurant decided to add new dates to the roster, which will be from Thursday, 3 December until Saturday, 5 December 2020. Chef Candice Philip is the former Head Chef at GREI at The Saxon, and has received many accolades during her many years in the culinary industry. Basalt is based at The Peech Hotel in Melrose Arch.
