Two of the judges on the Hot Bench judging panel are married (Judges Michael Corriero and Rachel Juarez) and Yodit Tewolde is unmarried.
Hot Bench features an entirely new courtroom television format and has a judging panel which is responsible for calling the shots.
The Hot Bench judging panel has changed quite a bit over the years, but the new judges are just as secretive about their personal lives.
For now, we can deduce that Judges Michael Corriero and Rachel Juarez are both married, and Judge Yodit Tewolde is not.
About Hot Bench
Where the decisions and rulings made on most of the court shows on television lie squarely on the shoulders of one celebrity judge, Hot Bench has a whole panel of judges.
Although all the other details about the small claims cases that appear on the show will be familiar to avid courtroom television watchers, this judging panel format introduced a brand new element to the genre.
Not only do the judges have to preside over the cases and reach a verdict, but they also need to consult with two other judges about what they feel the correct verdict is.
This certainly increases not only the drama of the show, but also its surprise factor when it comes to the final verdict of every case.
Are the judges on Hot Bench married?
Hot Bench has hardly strayed from this winning format since the show’s introduction in 2014, but what has changed quite significantly since the first season is the judging panel.
When the show was just starting out, the Hot Bench judging panel consisted of Judges Tanya Acker, Larry Bakman and Patricia DiMango.
However, Judge Bakman left the show in 2016 and Judges Acker and DiMango followed a few years later. These judges all left for different reasons and after some back and forth, they were replaced by the current Hot Bench judging panel.
This panel now comprises Judges Michael Corriero, Rachel Juarez, and Yodit Tewolde.
Unlike most other reality television shows, the judges on Hot Bench do not share much of their personal lives on the show or in the media.
As a result, it can be quite difficult to get an idea of what their lives look like outside of the show or even what their current relationship statuses are. Fortunately, some careful sleuthing has revealed the following:
Hot Bench judge | Marital status |
Michael Corriero | Married |
Rachel Juarez | Married |
Yodit Tewolde | Unmarried |
The proof
Even though the Hot Bench judges have not shared much about their personal lives online, we have managed to scrounge up a few clues to help us determine their current marital statuses (as of the filming of Hot Bench season nine).
The Hot Bench Facebook page shared a photo of Judge Corriero and his wife back in 2017, and since the judge still wears his wedding ring in most of the recent episodes, it is fairly safe to assume that they are still together.
Judge Juarez, on the other hand, confirmed herself that she was married in a 2022 episode of the show.
Unfortunately, although Judge Tewolde is the most active one on social media of all the judges, she seems to be either happily single, or keeping her relationships private, as there is no indication of a serious partner anywhere on her Instagram page.
Judge Judy and her husband had a brief stint on Hot Bench
Although Judge Corriero eventually replaced Judge Bakman, this departure was so abrupt that the show was left one judge short for a while in 2016. However, the show must go on.
Two judges who are married in real life, “Judge Judy” Sheindlin (who is also the creator and producer of the show) and her husband, Judge Jerry Sheindlin, took turns filling in for the empty spot on Hot Bench as a result.
Will Hot Bench be renewed for season 10?
Unfortunately, it may be some time before you will be able to tune in for the next season of Hot Bench to do your own investigations into whether the judges are married or not.
Hot Bench has not yet been officially renewed for a tenth season. However, this does not necessarily mean that the show has been cancelled.
Hot Bench still managed to snag the title of the number one original court program in daytime television for the 2020 to 2021 season.
And if this success has continued even after all the changes which were made to the judging panel, it will likely just be a matter of time before they start filming a new season.
Until then, some of the previous Hot Bench episodes are available to stream on Pluto TV.
