All about the American Pickers: Best Of “Toyland Treasures” episode

The American Pickers: Best Of “Toyland Treasure” episode see the team track down some truly rare toy finds and examines the stories behind the collections.

What do you do when your ever-popular collector and antiquing show is already in its 17^th season, but there are still so many collections in the United States that you have never seen?

Well, you create a spin-off series entirely dedicated to the best of the best collectors and their niche collections.

The American Pickers: Best Of spin-off is currently in its seventh season. But with thousands of unique collections still undiscovered, Mike Wolfe and his American Pickers team show no signs of slowing down just yet.

What you missed on “Toyland Treasures”

In case you missed it, the most recent episode of the American Pickers: Best Of spin-off show aired on February 7, 2024 (right after the new episode of the original American Pickers).

This episode, titled “Toyland Treasure” saw Wolfe and the rest of his treasure-hunting team travel all across the country in search of the most unique and valuable toy collections that they could find.

The team’s quest sees them uncover hidden gems ranging from classic figurines to nostalgic board games and gives viewers a rare glimpse into the stories that inspired these expert toy collectors to start their collections.

American Pickers: Best Of season 7

The seventh season of American Picker: Best Of officially kicked off on January 10, 2024, with new episodes airing weekly on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET or 9 p.m. CT on History.

And if you have not been tuning in after the premiere of the new American Pickers episodes weekly, you might want to catch up (all of these episodes are available to stream on the History website, alongside the regular show), as season seven of American Pickers: Best Of has already aired five new episodes this year, as follows:

The “Toyland Treasures” cast

Besides all of the unique and antique toys on display, the “Toyland Treasures” episode of American Pickers: Best Of” also contains all of your favorite American Pickers cast members.

This includes Mike Wolfe, who not only acts as front-man on the show, but also owns Antique Archaeology, which is where most of their spectacular finds have ended up over the years.

This spin-off also features glimpses of other fan-favorite cast members, such a Frank Fritz (who no longer makes an appearance on the regular version of American Pickers), Danielle Colby, Robbie Wolfe and Jersey Jon, who you may recognize from the original show.

What to expect for next week’s American Pickers: Best Of episode

While the “Toyland Treasures” certainly packed a nostalgic punch, in next week’s episode this team of expert pickers will truly be pushed to their limits.

American Pickers: Best Of, season 7 episode 6, titled “The Rare, the Rough, and the Shiny” is set to air on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.

In this episode, Mike and the gang will once again travel all throughout the States in search of some truly magnificent rare finds.

But in order to get their hands on these hidden collectibles, they will have to sort through piles and piles of forgotten relics, overgrown collectibles, and mismatched knick-knacks to find the rarest and shiniest antiques, cars, signs, figurines, and more, hidden amongst the duds.

The future of American Pickers

The original American Pickers show is currently in its 25^th season and has now aired more than 370 episodes in the last 14 years.

This places American Pickers in good company, as the show’s run on the air now rivals shows like Bob’s Burgers (which has aired 238 episodes in the last 12 years), Storage Wars (which has aired 339 episodes over the course of 15 years) and even The Bachelor (which has aired 289 episodes throughout the last 21 years).

And while some fans are worried that American Pickers and its spin-off may run out of treasure-hunting, rare-find-picking content soon at this rate, it seems like the show’s stars and its network has other plans.

Wolfe announced on his Instagram account that American Pickers had been picked up for another 40 episodes in December of 2023.

And although this announcement preceded the premiere of the 25^th season of the original American Pickers, and the most recent 7^th season of American Pickers: Best Of, it confirms that new episodes of this fan-favorite show will be airing on our televisions for many seasons to come.
